Eagle Point holds a special place in my heart. When I moved to Southern Oregon from Phoenix, Arizona, in 2005, Eagle Point was the first community I called home. After living here for 14 years, I have a personal appreciation for its neighborhoods, scenic surroundings, and welcoming atmosphere.

Eagle Point is a community with a strong sense of patriotism and pride in its military heritage. One of my favorite local traditions has always been the Avenue of the Flags, which honors veterans laid to rest at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Established in 1996, the display features more than 175 American flags lining the streets toward the cemetery on patriotic holidays and special occasions. Each flag once draped the casket of a veteran and was donated by their family, creating a deeply meaningful tribute made possible by dedicated community volunteers.

Eagle Point is also home to the historic Butte Creek Mill, the Antelope Creek Covered Bridge, and Eagle Point Golf Course. With nearby lakes, rivers, and mountain trails, residents enjoy easy access to some of Southern Oregon's favorite outdoor recreational opportunities.
